RUNSAFER "Development of a new running shoe with embedded electronics providing real time biomechanical feedback to reduce injury risk and enhance motivation, and a web portal allowing real training management"
A new running shoe with embedded sensors technology to measure biomechanical parameters during running.
The information will be wirelessly transmitted to a mobile phone applicationproviding real-time feedback to the runner (i.e. Information about current performance and/or suggestions to change running pattern or to stop running in case of detecting a high risk of injury).
The runners will also be able to transfer all their running information into a 2.0 web portal for a personalized training programmes development and control.
